Andrea Miller, DVM
My high school summers were dedicated to volunteering at the Pittsburgh Zoo, and working for our pets’ veterinarian. The doctor’s ability to simultaneously treat animals while also comforting their owners convinced me that veterinary medicine was the career path for me.
I received my Bachelors of Science from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, OH and then completed my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University. I began practicing in the Columbus area in 2009 and then decided to open Liberty Pet Hospital in Powell in 2015.
Professionally, I have special interest in dermatology, dentistry, behavioral health, and surgery.
When I visit my dentist or family physician, I value their caring bedside manner and honest interest in my life. Asking how my husband is doing, or queries regarding our latest travels show that they care about me as an individual and that I’m not just another patient on their schedule.
I like to create that same type of relationship with my clients and their pets. Specifically, I want to foster a mutual trust so that each conversation at Liberty Pet Hospital is specific to each family and each furry friend. I want every discussion I have with you about pet care to be grounded in honesty, and for us to reach every decision regarding treatment together.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our hospital website. I look forward to getting to know you and your beloved pets!

After graduating from Worthington High School, I studied microbiology at The Ohio State University. I continued on as a buckeye to graduate from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. I’ve stayed rooted in central Ohio and have enjoyed working in several small animal hospitals.
When I’m not taking care of my furry patients, I enjoy playing soccer, walking my dogs, baking cookies, and trying to keep up with my social/book club reading! With two sons in college, my husband and I are empty nesters, but have kept our house full with two dogs, two cats, and a cockatiel.

I can not remember a day in my life where animals have not been involved in one way or another. I grew up between Marysville, Ohio; Berlin, Germany; and Southern Africa and have participated in any animal activity from fostering kittens and watching dung beetles to training captive African elephants. I have a BS from Otterbein University in Pre-Equine Veterinary Science and I am currently attending The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine as part of the class of 2023 with an interest in surgery, emergency, and wildlife. Between undergrad and graduate school, I worked for one year in Southern Africa where I found my passion in furthering conservation one animal at a time. I hope to have a positive impact on every animal, of any kind, that I have the opportunity to work with and hope to extend this to every beloved pet and owner as well. While I have very little free time, the time that I have is spent with my cat, Haley, my horses, Maverick and Freckles, and my donkey, Benjamin.
