Andrea Miller, DVM

My affinity for animals began at a young age.  With parents that nurtured my ever-growing relationship with animals, I was encouraged to feed ducks at the park and pet horses we’d pass near my grandparent’s house.  If I found a lost pet near our home, I made every effort to reunite the pet with their family.

My high school summers were dedicated to volunteering at the Pittsburgh Zoo, and working for our pets’ veterinarian.  The doctor’s ability to simultaneously treat animals while also comforting their owners convinced me that veterinary medicine was the career path for me.

I received my Bachelors of Science from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, OH and then completed my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University.  I began practicing in the Columbus area in 2009 and then decided to open Liberty Pet Hospital in Powell in 2015.

When I visit my dentist or family physician, I value their caring bedside manner and honest interest in my life.  Asking how my husband is doing, or queries regarding our latest travels show that they care about me as an individual, and that I’m not just another patient on their schedule.

I like to create that same type of relationship with my clients and their pets.  Specifically, I want to foster a mutual trust so that each conversation at Liberty Pet Hospital is specific to each family and each furry friend.  I want every discussion I have with you about pet care to be grounded in honesty, and for us to reach every decision regarding treatment together.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our hospital website.  I look forward to getting to know you and your beloved pets!

Allison

Having grown up on a family farm in Central Illinois, my affinity for taking care of animals began at a young age. My childhood was spent raising and showing cattle, horses, rabbits, dairy goats, poultry, and llamas at county fairs and in 4-H. I have since obtained a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Illinois. While it is no longer my dream to become a veterinarian, it is my goal to work in research and development for animal prosthetics and implants as a biomedical engineer. My degree in Biomedical Engineering is expected May 2020 from Wright State University, with the intention of pursuing a postgraduate degree. My fur family consists of three Quarter Horse geldings (Ace, Archie, and Leo), four Australian Cattle Dogs (Lily, Crash, Patches, and Bandit), and two cats (Sven and Summer).

Keali - Registered Veterinary Technician

I grew up and live in Worthington. After high school I attended Columbus State Community College for my veterinary technician degree. Currently, I have three dogs (Saleen, Zoey and Riley), a cat (Buttons), and a Leopard gecko. My areas of interest are small animal surgery and anesthesia.

Karlissa - Registered Veterinary Technician

I grew up in Mount Gilead, OH but have always had a passion for animals. Upon graduation from high school I pushed my passion aside and majored in nursing. Mid semester, I decided to go to Columbus State and changed my major to veterinary technology. I graduated in May 2015 and passed my boards. I have two golden retrievers- Chloe and Stitch, who I absolutely adore.

Kaitlin - Veterinary Assistant

I am from a small town in Northern Michigan and was drawn to Westerville, Ohio to attend Otterbein University for my undergraduate career. Upon graduation from college, I accepted admission into the Ohio State
University College of Veterinary Medicine, where I am entering my third year there this fall. Upon graduation, I hope to work in the mixed animal field, so am greatly appreciative for all the knowledge I am gaining working alongside Dr. Miller. I have one dog - a Beagle mix named Milo who hates having his picture taken but loves his toy football.

Kirsten, RVT

I grew up in central Ohio and have settled in Westerville. I spent one year in New York for college before returning to Ohio and attending Bradford School for my veterinary technician degree. I graduated in 2013 and started working in small animal practices as a registered veterinary technician. I now live in Columbus with my fiancé and two dogs, Titan and Tawnie. Both dogs are completely spoiled but perfect!

Mckrai

I grew up in Traverse City, Michigan and moved to Columbus in 2011 to attended Ohio State University. I graduated in 2014 with my Bachelor of Science Degree and now I'm finishing my Veterinary Technician Degree. At home I have a 9 year old Cavalier named Bebhinn, my cat Tallulah, and a chameleon named Petey. My interests are surgery and emergency medicine.

Testimonial

Dr. Miller treats my cats as if they were her own. I can come to her with any questions and know my girls are getting the best of care.
