Andrea Miller, DVM

My affinity for animals began at a young age.  With parents that nurtured my ever-growing relationship with animals, I was encouraged to feed ducks at the park and pet horses we’d pass near my grandparent’s house.  If I found a lost pet near our home, I made every effort to reunite the pet with their family.

My high school summers were dedicated to volunteering at the Pittsburgh Zoo, and working for our pets’ veterinarian.  The doctor’s ability to simultaneously treat animals while also comforting their owners convinced me that veterinary medicine was the career path for me.

I received my Bachelors of Science from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea, OH and then completed my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University.  I began practicing in the Columbus area in 2009 and then decided to open Liberty Pet Hospital in Powell in 2015.

When I visit my dentist or family physician, I value their caring bedside manner and honest interest in my life.  Asking how my husband is doing, or queries regarding our latest travels show that they care about me as an individual, and that I’m not just another patient on their schedule.

I like to create that same type of relationship with my clients and their pets.  Specifically, I want to foster a mutual trust so that each conversation at Liberty Pet Hospital is specific to each family and each furry friend.  I want every discussion I have with you about pet care to be grounded in honesty, and for us to reach every decision regarding treatment together.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our hospital website.  I look forward to getting to know you and your beloved pets!

Hallie, Veterinary Assistant

My passion for animal care began at a very young age. I grew up on a family farm in Cambridge, OH where we raised beef cattle. I also raised and showed Boer goats in 4H. I obtained my dual Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and Biology with a minor in entrepreneurship from Bowling Green State University. Since then, I was privileged to be offered admittance to the Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine where I will earn my DVM in May 2021. After graduation, I plan to work in mixed animal veterinary medicine. My fur family consists of a fox terrier (Cooper), a blue heeler (Lily), a pit bull (Diesel), and a hedgehog (Herbie).

Karlissa, Registered Veterinary Technician

I grew up in Mount Gilead, OH but have always had a passion for animals. Upon graduation from high school I pushed my passion aside and majored in nursing. Mid semester, I decided to go to Columbus State and changed my major to veterinary technology. I graduated in May 2015 and passed my boards. I have two golden retrievers- Chloe and Stitch, who I absolutely adore.

Kirsten, Registered Veterinary Technician

I grew up in central Ohio and have settled in Westerville. I spent one year in New York for college before returning to Ohio and attending Bradford School for my veterinary technician degree. I graduated in 2013 and started working in small animal practices as a registered veterinary technician. I now live in Columbus with my fiancé and two dogs, Titan and Tawnie. Both dogs are completely spoiled but perfect!

Mckrai, Veterinary Assistant

I grew up in Traverse City, Michigan. I moved to Columbus in 2011 to attended Ohio State University. I graduated in 2014 with my Bachelor of Science Degree and now finishing my Veterinary Technician Degree. Sarah, Veterinary Assistant

From growing up with my family’s Golden Retriever, Saige, to adopting my own dog, Kana, my passion and draw to animals has always been present and led me to a path in veterinary medicine. I grew up in a suburb of Cleveland but went to University of Dayton to study Biology and Entrepreneurship for my undergrad. Upon graduation, I was privileged to be admitted into The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine where I will earn my DVM in May 2020. After graduation, I plan on working in a small animal clinic with the hopes of becoming a practice owner!
